NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Fultz, Ball, And Then What?

In his latest mock draft at SI’s The Crossover, Andrew Sharp has the Hawks picking Duke’s Harry Giles with the 19th overall pick. Giles is a bit of a mystery as a prospect. He was highly regarded coming out of high school, but injuries and a difficult freshman season has people wondering how good an NBA player he will actually be. I’d say he’s too risky a pick to take at No. 19. However, if he’s still around at pick No. 31, the Hawks should take a chance on him.

Why a potential Paul Millsap departure might ultimately be better for everyone

At Peachtree Hoops, Graham Chapple makes the case that Paul Millsap leaving the Hawks may be best for both parties. Millsap could attempt to sign with a contender for the final years of his career, and the Hawks could focus on rebuilding. Millsap’s contract is sure to be large, perhaps even a max deal, and the Hawks have to ask themselves whether or not they want to make that type of financial commitment.
