The Atlanta Hawks took one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference on Sunday afternoon, losing 133-114 to the Milwaukee Bucks.

From the get-go the Bucks were shooting lights out and the Atlanta Hawks efforts to keep up faded, as the Bucks’ lead slowly and surely rose as the game went on.

Milwaukee shot an impressive 53% on the day, including Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 33 points on 17 shots, who led the way for the Bucks, as he has all season. The MVP front-runner filled out the rest of the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. As a team, Coach Bud’s group moves to 30-12 on the season.

For Atlanta, they fall to 13-30 on the year, but still put up a great effort against one of theleague’s elite teams. What really did them in was the turnovers, which has been an underlying issue all season. They had 24 of them tonight—10 between Trae Young and Kevin Huerter—which head coach Lloyd Pierce no doubt considers beyond unacceptable.

They’ve now been beat pretty handily by the Bucks twice this season, but will have two more swings in the series down the road, near the end of the season. Dating back to March 2017, the Bucks have now won 7 straight against the Atlanta Hawks.

Even with John Collins going out with an injury, there were some positives to takeaway from the match and that’s what will be taking a look at here:
