3) November 13 vs New York – Big Apple Bashing

The first test against the upper echelon in the East will be at home on national TV (ESPN) against the Knicks.

New York is coming off their most successful season in over a decade, reaching the second round of the playoffs before getting eliminated by the same Pacers squad who knocked off the Hawks.

Can Atlanta hang with the bigger market, star-studded Knicks team led by Carmelo Anthony?

The Hawks have given Melo & Co. a good battle over the past couple of seasons so hopefully the trend continues.
