John Jenkins enters his second NBA season after having an underwhelming rookie year with the Hawks. He was drafted for his ability to shoot from three-point range, but missed a lot of open looks last season. He has to be better in 2013-2014. Jenkins will see time on the floor, how much will likely depend on not only his shooting but his decision making as well. In Jenkins first appearance of the preseason for instance, he was benched for choosing to take a forced shot attempt instead of passing to a wide open Pero Antic as the shot clock was winding down. Jenkins appeared to receive a bit of a tongue lashing from Coach Budenholzer on his way to the bench.

This is a crucial season for Jenkins. Unlike last season, he will be expected to log some important minutes for the Hawks. It remains to be seen whether he is up for such responsibility.
