Pero Antic was probably the most interesting addition to the Hawks roster. Few people even knew who he was when the Hawks signed the 6’11” native of Macedonia. Despite his size and intimidating appearance, Pero likes to stay on the perimeter and shoot from three-point range. In fact, Pero put on a nice shooting display during the Hawks open practice, hitting several shots from behind the arc.
Antic is a bruiser defensively and isn’t afraid to battle in the post. He displayed this in both home preseason games against Memphis and Indiana.
The Hawks offense will place a high emphasis on ball movement and penetration this season. Both Jenkins and Antic will get their share of open shot attempts.
