Kyle Korver has looked fantastic this preseason. He’s always had a quick release on his jump shot, but his release has gotten even quicker. And, just looking at him it is easy to tell he has worked hard on his conditioning this offseason as well.
Korver is an outstanding three-point shooter who Hawks fans were happy to see re-sign this summer (four years, $24 million deal). He was an impressive shooter throughout the preseason, but not just from behind the three-point arc, he also was more than willing to shoot the mid-range jump shot, something that was not seen much out of him last season.
The Hawks will need Korver to continue to be a lethal threat from long-range this season. Korver should benefit from the post presence of both Al Horford and Paul Millsap. Defenses could be forced to collapse on the two bruisers down low, opening up looks for Korver from deep.
Expect an outstanding season from Kyle Korver.
