The NBA All-Star Weekend is already underway and Saturday night will provide a slate of entertainment for all NBA fans. Saturday’s festivities in New Orleans will open with the Shooting Stars Challenge, followed by the Skills Challenge, then the Three-Point Contest and conclude with the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
The Three-Point Contest has long been the premier display of the best shooters the NBA has to offer. It has supplied the public with great moments over the years, such as Larry Bird confidently turning around before the last ball hit the net in a dominating contest performance.
This year’s field will be watched over by new NBA commissioner Adam Silver, and it includes some of the best in the league from long range. Who will take home the crown?
The Soaring Down South staff is here to preview the event 5-on-5 style.
