The NBA All-Star Weekend is already underway and Saturday night will provide a slate of entertainment for all NBA fans. Saturday’s festivities in New Orleans will open with the Shooting Stars Challenge, followed by the Skills Challenge, then the Three-Point Contest and conclude with the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.

In case you haven’t heard, the Skills Challenge is introducing a new format this year. It features four teams of two players each competing in a two-round timed relay-style course consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations. All teams must observe basic NBA ball-handling rules while completing the course. The fastest team from each Conference during the First Round will advance to the Championship Round. The fastest team in the Championship Round will win the event.

To help introduce everything surrounding the Skills Challenge, the Soaring Down South staff is here to preview the event 5-on-5 style.

Coverage of tonight’s festivities will be televised on TNT starting at 8 p.m. (ET) with the Skills Challenge going down as the second event following the Shooting Stars Challenge. Click here for the Skills Challenge rosters.
