The NBA All-Star Weekend is already underway and Saturday night will provide a slate of entertainment for all NBA fans.

Saturday’s festivities in New Orleans will conclude with the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest and as usual, it will likely receive the most attention of the events during the night.

As one of the older All-Star Weekend traditions, the Dunk Contest is seeing a dramatic change to the format this year as it focuses on teams instead of individuals.

The contest will be featuring two teams representing the Western and Eastern Conferences. The West trio will feature Harrison Barnes, Damian Lillard and Ben McLemore where the East will be represented by Paul George, John Wall and last year’s champion Terrence Ross.

To help introduce everything surrounding the Slam Dunk Contest, the Soaring Down South staff is here to preview the event in our 5-on-5 breakdown of tonight’s finale.

Coverage of tonight’s events begins at 8 p.m. (ET) on TNT with the Slam Dunk Contest set to tip-off following the conclusion of the Three-Point Contest. Click here for the complete list of Slam Dunk Contest participants.
