1. Jeff Teague Will Be An All-Star

Jeff Teague will be an All-Star this year. Everything is lined up in his favor to receive his first All-Star game nod.

Before Al Horford went down with injury, Teague averaged 16.8 points per game along with 8.2 assists.  While those numbers would put Teague on the cusp of being an All-Star, he should be able to improve on his stats with another year under his belt.

Last year’s reserve guards for the All-Star Game were Joe Johnson (Nets), John Wall (Wizards), and DeMar DeRozan (Raptors). Since Teague doesn’t play for a big market team, it will be hard for him to receive fans votes so his goal should be to grab a reserve role which is chosen by the coaches.

The numbers are going to have to be there for Teague if he wants an All-Star spot. The guard position hasn’t really seen any major shift in the East and with Derrick Rose’s comeback it will make it tougher for Eastern guards to grab a spot.

There are too many great guards in the East and not enough All-Star spots for all, but Teague can be one of them with a great individual season along with a great team season.
