The Case for Al Horford

I’m not exaggerating when I say this, I love Al Horford in Budenholzer’s offense.

Horford’s ability to pass the ball (3.3 assists per game), finish in the paint (he shoots 62.9% in the paint) and hit the mid-range jumper (49.2%) leaves defenders clueless as to what he’s going to do to them.

Al started the season slow coming off his torn pectoral muscle surgery, but has been a nightmare for opposing teams during the Hawks’ franchise record 17-game win streak.

Horford has a 21.4 PER and has a TS% of 57.9%.  His per game numbers aren’t flashy, but if they were, it wouldn’t reflect what this Atlanta team is about.
