Adam: The Hawks have surprised most onlookers this season, particularly those who hadn’t been following the team’s building process closely. What do you make of the work that’s been done by coach Mike Budenholzer and the front office, and what do you think is a realistic goal for this team in the Playoffs?
Ti: I think what the Hawks have done this season is more impressive than any other team. They don’t have any players who could be considered true superstars, but they have terrific skill sets that compliment each other perfectly. Honestly this team reminds me a little of the Spurs (which is a common sentiment, for obvious reasons), but more of the 2004 Pistons.
They don’t have a star player yet they’re still very much a contender this season. The Spurs have Tim Duncan, but I don’t see the equivalent player in Atlanta who is clearly the best. They play team basketball and they win games, and I think they have a chance at beating anybody in a seven game series.
