Reactions: The Good
- As the Playoffs tick ever nearer, Atlanta’s starters are catching fire at just the right time. DeMarre Carroll continued his recent tear, and is averaging over 16 points and six rebounds in his last ten games. Horford and Teague got in on the act in this one too, and there’s no doubt that the Hawks’ starters will strike fear into the hearts of many opponents over the next couple of months.
- He may not have looked quite as lively as usual, but following his toe injury, Mike Scott returned to the floor and played just over nine minutes. The timing is perfect, as Scott will be allowed a few games to get back up to speed before the real business end of the NBA calendar rolls around.
- As a whole, the bench were incredibly impressive in this one, with a blow out leading to reduced minutes for some of the starters. As a group, the bench combined for 56 points, while shooting 54 percent from the field.
