Atlanta Hawks Grades: Starters

Jeff Teague, B+

17 Points | 8-12 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 8 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

He may have only played 23 minutes, but Teague looked to be on the top of his game. He was scoring, assisting and doing so incredibly efficiently, what more can we ask for?

Kyle Korver, B-

10 Points| 3-6 FG | 1-1 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Another who didn’t play a whole ton of minutes, but Korver did exactly what you’d expect from him. It seems to be becoming more and more rare to see Korver shooting from within the arc, and when you can shoot that efficiently from deep, why would you step in?

DeMarre Carroll, A

20 Points | 7-9  FG | 2-4 FT | 8 REB | 5 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

DeMarre is playing on a totally different level at the moment. His scoring is great, his rebounding is great, but it’s his assists that show just how dominant The Junkyard Dog is right now. For the second time in three games, Carroll racked up five dimes, a trend Atlanta would love to see continue.

Paul Millsap, C-

8 Points | 1-5 FG | 6-6 FT | 3 REB | 5 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

Millsap had another uncharacteristically difficult shooting night, but he impressed in most other ways during his 16 minutes on the floor. Just like DeMarre, he had an impressive five assists, further evidence of the unselfish unit that this Hawks team is. Right now, all the focus has to be on Millsap’s health though. With the Playoffs so close let’s hope Paul is okay.

Al Horford, A-

20 Points | 10-13 FG | 0-1 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 3 STL | 1 BLK |

Horford was at his dominant best in this one. “Boss Mode” was clearly engaged, as not only did Al continue to demonstrate the accurate mid-range form he’s had of late, but he was also incredibly aggressive in driving to the rim, energizing the crowd with a couple of first half dunks.
