Atlanta Hawks Grades: Bench

Pero Antic, B-

9 Points| 3-5 FG | 1-1 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

After a disastrous 0-7 shooting night in Detroit last time out, Pero bounced back in this one with nine points. The Bulk of those points came in a short burst where Antic showcased just how effective he can be when he shoots in the flow of the offense.

Kent Bazemore, B+

11 Points | 4-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 5 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

After some subdued performances of late, Bazemore was far from quiet in this one. His 11 points included a perfect 3-3 from deep, and some show-stopping assists. The best stretch of his night came in the fourth quarter when a massive chasedown block spurred him on to make back-to-back long balls on the opposite end.

Mike Scott, C

2 Points | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

After receiving a nice ovation when he came into the game for the first time, Scott went straight down the floor to score a nice bank shot on his first possession. Although they would end up being his only points of the night, seeing him back on the court was what was most important in itself.

Thabo Sefolosha, B

12 Points| 4-9 FG | 2-2 FT | 4 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

Just like his fellow wing DeMarre Carroll, Sefolosha has been red hot of late, and he continued to look impressive in his play against the Nets. Where Sefolosha’s three-point shooting was a real concern early in the season, Thabo continued to knock down the long ball in this one, 2-4 from deep.

Shelvin Mack, B+

10 Points | 4-7 FG | 2-2 FT | 5 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

It comes as no surprise, as he did it all of last season, but just a gentle reminder from Shelvin that he is a more than capable backup in the absence of Dennis Schröder. What makes it so easy to trust Mack is his efficiency, and his nicely rounded stat line should leave fans brimming with confidence in Mack if he’s needed to take on a bigger role.

Mike Muscala, B

7 Points| 2-2 FG | 2-2 FT | 0 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

The fact that he grabbed no rebounds was a quirky detail from his night, but Muscala was impressive again as his development continues. Moose made his only three-point attempt and dropped a nice assist to Al Horford as he continued to show how he’s diversifying his game.

John Jenkins, B

5 Points| 2-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 0 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

Some rare floor time for Jenkins, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. As always though, the former Vanderbilt man showed that he’s a capable scorer, even if his 2-6 in this one wasn’t necessarily his most efficient night.

Elton Brand, B

0 Points| 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

It’s always a pleasure to see big EB get on the floor, and although he may not have got himself any points, he was his usual active self on this occasion. In ten minutes, Brand checked off a rebound, assist, steal and a block.
