Yesterday, was all about drama for the Atlanta Hawks. First it was drama off the court with the events surrounding Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha. Then later it was drama on the hardwood of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, as the Hawks squared off with the Nets.
This wasn’t just any game either, it was a game with real meaning. The Hawks have the opportunity to swap picks with the Nets, and this represented their last chance to push them back towards the lottery. On a night where all of the Nets playoff rivals seemed to be winning that seemed more important than ever too.
It’s hard to write drama like this, as when the game went down to the wire, it was Joe Johnson, the man who’s trade deal the pick swap results from, was trying to close out a victory for Brooklyn just as he had done for multiple years in Atlanta.
It wasn’t to be for the Nets though, and after a night of outstanding performances from the Hawks, it was their hustle and heart that saw them across the line in the end.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at your Atlanta Hawks grades and reactions from their three point win over the Brooklyn Nets.
