Reactions: The Good

  • After a poor night shooting the ball from deep the night before, the Hawks remedied that in this one. Shooting just under 40 percent on three-pointers as a team on the night, the Hawks received meaningful shooting contributions from Kyle Korver (3-4), DeMarre Carroll (3-7) and Mike Scott (2-6).
  • Mike Scott’s 20 points were a very welcome boost with the Playoffs so close. Scott thrives on the spotlight and high pressure environments, and his ability to provide instant offense is something Atlanta will surely have to rely upon at some stage during their title pursuit.
  • The rest of the NBA doesn’t really seem to have noticed, but DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford continued on their tremendous run of form. With those two shooting lights out as they are, adding Teague, Korver and Millsap into the mix could make the Hawks a steamroller in the Playoffs.
