Hawks Need More Scoring

The Hawks scored 102.5 points per game in the regular season and are currently producing 97.5 points per game (-5) through two games in the playoffs. Atlanta was a top 10 team in scoring during the regular season. The Hawks aren’t shooting the ball at the same percentages, take a look:

  • Regular Season: FG%: 46.6 – 3PT% – 38.0 – FT% –  77.8
  • Playoffs: FG%: 40.8 – 3PT% – 36.1 – FT% – 85.4

The field goal percentage has taken the biggest dip, dropping 5.8 percent. The three ball is relatively close, only seeing it drop a shade under two percent. What has been a pleasant surprise is the upward spike in free throw percentage. That is always a good thing in the playoffs. The Hawks shot 38 percent in game two from both the field and three point line.
