The Coaching Battle Is On
The Nets are very good in crunch time. They are 10-2 this season in games that end in three points or less. In the last game which was tight, Brooklyn eventually closed things out in the overtime frame. Once again, it was Lionel Hollins and the Nets that prevailed in yet another tight spot.
There is no question that Mike Bundenholzer can coach a basketball team. He was honored with the prestigious 2015 NBA Coach Of The Year award earlier this month.
Being down two games in a series was nothing new for Hollins as he climbed out of this hole as both a player and coach.
NBA.com recently did a piece on Lionel Hollins. It explained how Hollins history is fighting through adversity. In this series he has shown that he is moving in a similar direction, doing the impossible once again. Budenholzer and Hollins are set to square off in a chess match for the remainder of this opening round series. Look for an intense, calculated battle between two great coaches.
