The Good:

  • The first half carried over nicely from Brooklyn Game 6. The Hawks skyrocketed out with 37 first quarter points, their highest playoff total for a quarter this year. Much of the same in the second too as Atlanta commanded a ten point half time lead. The 63 points posted were the most the Wizards have allowed in a half all season. Shots fell out of the sky; Atlanta made nine triples to widen the gap to as large as 11 points, the space pulled the Wizards far out of the paint and led to a lot of open looks from deep. Atlanta shot 52 percent in the first half.
