The Good
- After the degree of pain he exhibited late into Game 1 when he hyperextended his left leg and suffered a bad bone bruise, a return to Game 2 for DeMarre Carroll seemed pretty doubtful. So when he jogged out on to the court during pre game introductions he deserved every moment of that standing ovation delivered by the crowd. Even though not close to 100%, the true grit and tenacity displayed by the Junkyard Dog won the respect of many more fans with his appearance last night. Ultimately, the morale boost wasn’t enough to physically stop James in his tracks but as DeMarre put it, getting this far into the playoffs, nothing was going to stop him from competing. That mentality is impressive.
