Steve Smith

You might know Steve Smith from his analyst work on NBA TV, before that he played 14 seasons in the NBA. After starting his career with the Miami Heat, Smith was traded to the Hawks during the middle of the 1994-1995 season.

Smith enjoyed the prime of his career with Atlanta, averaging 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 43 percent shooting and 33.7 percent from three-point range. Smith was named an All-Star in 1998 and was a member of the 56 win Hawks team that lost to Michael Jordan’s Bulls during their 1997 championship run.

He ranks tenth in Hawks history in free-throw percentage, fifth in three-point field goals made, as well as ninth in both minutes played and points per game.
