Training camp has started for the Atlanta Hawks and things seem to be going well. Dennis Schroder is talking about watching film of Tony Parker to get used to playing with Tiago Splitter. Paul Millsap hopes to improve his three-point shooting. Jeff Teague is working on playing off the ball. Is that a possible sign that he is going to play with Schroder more often? Things are pretty exciting in Atlanta.

Now is the time of hope. Players idealistically working towards a goal that may not even be attainable. But, until the regular season starts at the end of October, every team has the same record and, in theory, the same chance of making a run to the NBA Finals.

Preseason means it’s prediction season. Over/unders are coming out and we’ve taken a look at what some national publications have projected for the Hawks this season. Now it’s our turn. A chance to throw out some outlandish predictions that will surely look ridiculous come June. Or a chance to look like a modern day Nostradamus when all of these predictions come marvelously true.
