38.
The Magic started off the week with a double digit road loss to the Atlanta Hawks on MLK Day and things seemed to spiral downward from there. They returned home two days later and lost to the NBA’s worst team in the Philadelphia 76ers. Another home loss to the Hornets on Friday night and the week was a complete bust for a team that was in the thick of things just a few short weeks ago.

The Magic have now lost 9 of their last 10 since closing out 2015 with at 19-13 record. Injuries have played a role in this team’s demise but as of Friday night, they were back at full strength with the return of Victor Oladipo.

Elfrid Payton was the team’s MVP this week scoring in double digits in all three contests as well as dishing out 10 assists in two of the three and falling one rebound shy of a triple double in Friday’s loss. Payton is part of a young core for this Magic team that will look to get back on track this week as they play three of four on the road.
.
