Like the Magic, the Heat finished the week winless and on the verge of dropping out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. And what’s worse is that they weren’t even in any of their games. They lost all three by double figures including a 19 point loss to the Wizards and a 20 point loss to the Raptors.

The Heat haven’t been shy about making moves at the trading deadline so as it rapidly approaches, look for Pat Riley to try and make a move or two to upgrade his roster as this team just hasn’t looked good since the calendar turned to January having lost 8 games in the month so far.

The schedule doesn’t get any easier to start the week as they will travel to Chicago to play the Bulls before ending the week with a home tilt with the Atlanta Hawks. If the Heat have another stretch like the one they had last week, it might be time to hit the panic button on an aging roster as we head into the stretch run of the season.
.
