Sitting at the 21st overall pick of the first round in this year’s NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks are sitting in an interesting position. While this draft is not one considered to be full of stars, it is praised for its depth beyond the top 2 players. There are a world of possibilities for the Hawks, and we will break down Atlanta’s 5 best draft fits.

There is a lot of talk swirling around who the Hawks could take with the 21st pick in this year’s draft. Among the many places that conduct mock drafts, the 9 biggest mock draft sites have the Hawks taking 8 different players in their respective renditions of this year’s first round. To put it simply, nobody really knows what the Hawks are going to do. But, because of the depth in this year’s draft, there is less certainty than normal about who will be available when the Hawks go on the clock.

The Hawks are also facing an off-season that could leave them with a variety of needs in this draft. They already are in need of wing depth; with Kent Bazemore‘s potential departure making that an even bigger need. Perhaps, the Hawks will trade Jeff Teague and be in need of another point guard? Or maybe Al Horford will leave in free agency? Leaving a big need at center as well, the Hawks have so many questions surrounding next year’s roster that they will be looking for the best player that fits the system at the 21st pick. Here are the 5 best fits among players that could potentially be available and their NBA player comparisons.
