The Atlanta Hawks have three picks in the 2016 NBA Draft. They could use their No. 44 overall pick to target some quality backcourt players.

The Atlanta Hawks head into the 2016 NBA Draft with three draft picks: No. 21, No. 44, and No. 54.

It isn’t certain whether or not they will keep all of there picks as the draft progresses. There has been many rumors that they would include one of those picks in a package with Jeff Teague in a potential trade. If they were to include the 54th overall pick in the package, there would still be a number of quality guard available to help the lack of depth in the backcourt with Teague’s potential departure.

It’s expected that the Hawks will target a big man with their No. 21 overall pick in the first round, but if they could get their hands on a combo guard in the second round, they could leave the war room satisfied heading into the free agency period to address the rest of their needs.

Point guard Dennis Schroder seems to be ready to take over as the starting point guard for the Hawks, but the main concern will be his back-up. Not only will the Hawks look to address that position in free agency, but they could utilize their second-round pick to develop a young player into an ideal rotation guy.

Let’s take a look at five players the Hawks should target with their No. 44 overall pick.
