Intangibles

Prince plays with an incredible amount of passion every game that ignites his seemingly endless motor. Smash an great motor, athleticism, size, and passion together and what do you get?

Plays like this:

His energy and resiliency makes Prince impossible NOT to love watching. The plays above display effort that will have an easy transition into the NBA game. Often times, there are prospects that have tremendous athleticism in the open floor, but don’t have that killer instinct to attack the rim with reckless abandon. Prince has that.

His 6.1 rebounds per game ranked second on the team behind Rico Gathers’ 9.0 average. His 1.3 steals per game also ranked second on the team and while his 0.7 blocks don’t jump out at you and indicate a solid rim-protector, when the situation presents itself, Prince wants to get his hand on anything that comes his way.

The energy that he plays with will be contagious even to the older players on the team. Whenever you see a guy that plays as hard as Prince and see his passion start bleeding out, it’s hard not to join on that bandwagon. (CC: Draymond Green) Green, as we saw during his absence in the Finals, is the catalyst for that great Golden State Warriors team. Without him, the level of intensity on both ends just don’t seem the same. Prince will have the chance to be that for the Hawks next year and for years to come.
