Jarrett Jack

If you hadn’t kept up with the NBA last season, it would be surprising to see that Jarrett Jack is still available. After suffering an ACL tear just 32 games into the 2015-16 season, NBA teams have become hesitant to the thought of whether or not the 32-year-old can make a complete recovery.

Nevertheless, Hawks’ fans would love to see Jack in an Atlanta jersey since he starred for Georgia Tech during his college days.

But the Hawks aren’t going to make a move specifically because their fans would love it. Jack will likely be signed for much cheaper had he never suffered the knee injury because he was actually playing really well with the Brooklyn Nets as their starting point guard.

Prior to his injury, Jack was averaging 12.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. If the Hawks were able to bring him in, he wouldn’t be expected to start since it is clearly Dennis Schroder’s turn to take charge, but he would supply valuable minutes off the bench and be an outstanding mentor for both Schroder and Malcolm Delaney.

Jack would certainly demand more money than the previous two players on this list, but his presence on the team would be worth every dollar spent. If you had to judge on if he can come back from this injury by taking a look at the adversity he has overcome throughout his entire career, this will just be a little bump in the road for Jack.
