Atlanta Hawks basketball is almost upon us once again. Well, summer league basketball, that is. Either way, it’s always an exciting time of year for fans to catch the first glimpse of their team’s draft picks, the development of current younger players on the roster, and those who are still trying to find their way into an organization.

The Hawks will be partaking in the Las Vegas Summer League and playing in three games starting on July 8. Here’s their schedule:

Friday 6/8 8:00 PM ET vs Houston Rockets

Sunday 7/10 4:00 PM ET vs Washington Wizards

Monday 7/11 4:30 PM ET vs Brooklyn Nets

The final roster has not yet been set, but there have been nine players announced to participate including this year’s draft picks Taurean Prince, DeAndre Bembry, and Isaia Cordinier.

Summer league is the first chance to evaluate the incoming talent of your respective team, but it’s important to note that the difference talent-wise in the summer league in comparison to the actual NBA is much weaker.

Still, players are battling for roster spots and this is their chance to prove to the organization that they are worth the gamble.

Here are some things to keep an eye on throughout the three games.
