Kyle Korver

Position: Shooting Guard

2015-16 statistics: 9.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 2.1 APG

Slash Line: 43.5/39.9/83.3

Kyle Korver has been one of the best long-range snipers in the NBA for more than a decade. It seemed like once he hit his eighth year in the NBA (at that time playing with the Jazz), he took the next step and became and elite marksman and a nightmare for opposing defenses.

His sub-par averages from last year bring automatic questions to the forefront. Korver will be turning 36 in March, is he becoming more of a liability than a threat? Will he ever be able to return to the elite marksman that he was two seasons ago?

Just because Korver had an off year to his standards doesn’t mean it’s downhill from here.

Heck, an off year for him is still shooting 39.9 percent from three–which still ranked 25th in the NBA last season. It’s safe to assume that he will be back flirting with those 50/40/90 averages shooting-wise next season playing alongside some new pieces in the lineup.

His shooting will be a major key to the success of the offense this season to demand spacing on the floor and to allow big men in Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard especially, to operate in the low post.
