Tim Hardaway Jr.

Position- Shooting Guard

2015-16 Statistics: 6.4 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 1.0 APG

Slash Line: 43.0/33.8/89.3

Tim Hardway Jr. was traded to Atlanta during the NBA Draft last year after having two impressive seasons with the New York Knicks. During his time in New York, he showed that he can be a luxury off the bench that can provide scoring and long-range shooting.

Trading for him seemed to be a great deal for Atlanta by giving the No. 19 pick (which ended up being Jerian Grant) in exchange for Hardway Jr. Instead, Hardaway Jr. had problems competing just for a back-up position, and even was assigned to the NBA D-League team, the Canton Charge, for a short stint.

Training camp will be extremely important for Hardaway Jr. as he tries to erase the debacle from last season and assert himself as the first option off the bench.

He has plenty to prove with his back against the wall. If he can’t find a way to succeed in Atlanta, it doesn’t give him many options elsewhere considering Budneholzer is one of the best in the business at getting the most out of his players.
