Mookie Blaylock was traded to the Hawks in November of 1992 from the New Jersey Nets in exchange for Rumeal Robinson and Roy Hinson. If you’re wondering who the last two players are, it supports the argument that this trade was in heavy favor of the Hawks.

During his 13-year NBA career, Blaylock made one All-Star appearance in 1994. He was a two-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection (1994,1995), a four-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team selection (1996-1999), and was crowned the NBA steals leader twice (1997,1998).

In his seven seasons as a Hawk, Blaylock averaged 14.9 points, 7.3 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.

Blaylock ranks fifth in NBA history with an average of 2.3 steals per game, 11th with 2,075 steals, 31st with an average of 6.7 assists per game, 33rd with 1,283 3-pointers, and 34th with 5,972 assists.
