9. Steve Smith

Points per game (as a Hawk): 18.6

3-point field goals (as a Hawk): 549

3-PT FG% (as a Hawk): 33.7%

Smith began his five-year stint with the Hawks on November 9th, 1994 against the Phoenix Suns. He used his efficient mid-range game and three-point shooting to score 17 points on an efficient 6-for-11 shooting night.

This efficiency was, in part, what made Smith such a great scorer. He used his 6’7″ frame to get wherever he wanted on the court, but also had a smooth stroke from behind the three-point line.

Smith left the Hawks after the 1999 season, but not before he amassed 6291 points, which coincidentally is the same amount as the No. 7 player on this list. His 549 three-pointers place him No. 5 in Hawks history, and his 84.4 percent from the free-throw line puts him at seventh in the Hawks history book (min. 100 attempts).
