8. Al Horford

Points per game (as a Hawk): 14.3

3-point field goals (as a Hawk): 108

3-PT FG% (as a Hawk): 34%

The recently departed Horford comes in at #8 though he only hit 108 threes over his nine seasons in Atlanta. The former Florida Gator only began regularly shooting threes last season, and he shot almost 35 percent from deep.

Though his three-point numbers may seem underwhelming, any Hawk fan could explain Horford’s shooting prowess. On his career, Horford shot a scorching 46.8 percent from 16 feet to the three-point line (via Basketball-Reference.com).

In comparison, noted mid-range sniper LaMarcus Aldridge has shot only 42.1 percent from 16 feet to 3-point land. Horford’s mid-range shot was one of the league’s most consistent presences while in Atlanta, and it helped him score a remarkable 8,288 points over nine years, two of which he played less than 30 games in. In basically seven seasons, Horford scored over 8,000 points.
