Our NBA rankings continue here at Soaring Down South as we move up the lineup and into the realm of the small forwards. Of these versatile players, though, who makes the top 10?
The small forward position is arguably the most versatile one in the game of basketball. They are the middle position and of middle height and so offer a flexibility in playing a game that is halfway between that of a guard and a big.
They tend to be scorers and shot creators, often boasting offensive skill-sets that offer both range and driving. If they cannot offer that, the small forward has to offer defense, where they can guard multiple positions thanks to their size.
The best in the position, though, should be able to do both offense and defense and may even have additional skills, such as playmaking or rebounding. Clearly, the best players at the three will be among the most complete players in the NBA.
