If the one and only Phil Jackson says that passing on you was his “biggest mistake”, you know you are probably quite good. That is the case for Boston Celtics small forward Jae Crowder, who was overlooked for a pick.

Crowder has immense value in that he is a strong and rugged defender while also offering clutch shooting, all on a very, very, very reasonable contract. Three-and-D has become a cornerstone in this league and Jae Crowder is among the very best.

“He’s a good player that has opened a lot of eyes since he left Dallas,” a league executive told CSNNE.com. “That contract, his talent … he’s not untradeable, but he’s about as close to being untradeable on that team.”

Crowder is fast, strong, relentless, and so much else. He has both the offense and the defense and is the eighth-best small forward in the NBA today.
