Jekyll And Hyde

I understand that the NBA season is a grind, a marathon, and that contenders would just like to get through to the playoffs healthy and unscathed. If coach Budenholzer’s team this year did not exhibit such a Jekyll and Hyde component and displayed even the slightest amount of consistency, however, then the Hawks would be well within striking distance of the number one seed.

All NBA teams have talent and extraordinary athletes that are capable of beating you on any occasion. But if you have the personnel and pieces to defeat the defending champion Cavaliers, and the Spurs, then there is no excuse to lose to the Suns, or any of those bottom feeding teams twice. Those games they didn’t show up, weren’t prepared, and didn’t do their jobs.

Last night Atlanta welcomed the lowly Dallas Mavericks to Phillips Arena. They came away with a 100-95 win, but it was close.
