Wing Play

One player shouldn’t really be blamed for the inconsistent performance of the team. That poor performance likely is the result of the type of effort and energy that all the players brought to the court during those contests. If there was one Hawk that is most familiar with inconsistency, though, it is Kent Bazemore.

According to basketballreference.com, he has scored three points or less in a grand total of nine games. The Hawks have a 3- 6 record during those contests. He has started all but three of the 57 games that he has appeared in, never logging less than 16 minutes of action. The two games that he was inactive in this year, the Hawks won.

I actually like Kent Bazemore. There are nights that he looks excellent. For example, the November 11 win at Cleveland,  he had 25 points, six rebounds, rebounds assists, one turnover and made the game clinching shot. That’s an outing that he proves to be worth the contract that he signed on July 1st of last year, for four years and $70 million.

The southpaw has a gorgeous stroke on his jump shot, never stops moving on offense, and can dunk on you without warning. He plays with tremendous drive and emotion. He has a charismatic demeanor off the court as well, and who couldn’t love the Baze gaze?
