Dennis and His Turnovers

Dennis Schroder struggled to hold on to the ball again today, coughing it up five times. The team as a whole only had twelve. His season average of 3.1 per game places him 9th in the league in turnovers per game.

Keep in mind that the players in front of him include Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and John Wall, who are under a whole different level of pressure as they have to be the sole producers of offense on their respective teams.

It was clear that Coach Bud was not happy with Schroder’s play, as he took him out for the majority of the fourth quarter and resorted to Bazemore playing point guard. Schroder even received some boos from the crowd after a second consecutive air-ball and the end of the first half. He is no Westbrook or Harden, but the inevitable fact is that when Schroder plays well, the Hawks win.
