Many players on the new-look Atlanta Hawks are bound for a breakout season. Who should we keep our eyes on and what awards could they be chasing?

With the 2017-2018 NBA season around two months away, the Atlanta Hawks roster is practically completed. As the team has entered a rebuilding stage, many have the Hawks ranked among the the worst teams in the association.

Whether or not this pans out to be accurate, there is one fact that is inevitable: there are a lot of players on this team that will gain recognition like they never have before.

The Atlanta Hawks under Mike Budenholzer turned a 47th overall draft pick into a four-time All-Star and one of the greatest players to ever play for the franchise.

They saw what no one else saw in a shooting specialist who was never looked at as anything more than a role player. Today, he is an All-Star and many experts regard him as one of the greatest shooters of all-time and a potential Hall of Fame candidate.

These players, along with others that have come and gone, were discovered well in to their career. What separates this current Hawks team from ones in the past is that this roster is filled with young talent that has a long way to go until they reach their full potential.

The Hawks drafted, signed, and traded for plenty of new, young additions to this team. Along with some players who have been on this team for some time now, there should be some surprising and breakout seasons in store for Hawks fans.
