BayHawks split Weekend Home Set
The Erie BayHawks took sole possession of first place last weekend, but were unable to put more space between themselves and the second-place Lakeland Magic.
Friday night, the BayHawks pulled out a 12-point win over the Long Island Nets, despite a 36-point outing from Isaiah Whitehead. Josh Magette led the way for Erie scoring 22 points and 9 assists, including this spectacular, Steve Nash-esque trickery:
Tyler Cavanaugh had 15 points off the bench and grabbed 8 boards while Craig Sword and Jeremy Evans added 12 points each.
On Saturday, Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins made an appearance at Erie Insurance Arena. The BayHawks even wore special uniforms with the ‘Nique era design, but they were unable to capture the same glory as they fell short in the game to the Raptors 905.
Erie went 11-30 from 3PT range and were bitten by 19 turnovers. Jaylen Morris led the way with 24 points and 8 rebounds for Erie. It was Malcolm Miller who led the charge with 24 points for Raptors 905.

- After being a double-double machine of late, Raphiael Putney was unable to achieve that in the last two games. Putney had 13 points and 8 boards in the win over the Nets, and 12 points and 5 rebounds in the loss to the Raptors 905
- Josh Magette had a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists in Saturday’s loss.
- Andrew White went cold against Long Island with only 9 points and 2 rebounds. However, he warmed up Saturday night by scoring 15 points and grabbing 7 boards.
