Hawks Unable to Keep Pace with Indiana, Fall 112-87

After a cold shooting performance in the 1st half, Tyler Dorsey found his stroke in the second half, scoring 18 points while finishing 3 for 8 from 3PT in only 24 minutes.
For the first time in his career, Dorsey led the team in points. Those 18 also happened to be a career-high for the second-round pick. He also added 4 rebounds.
Dorsey employed his versatile jumper to splash down plenty of points versus some pretty solid Pacers defense — which forced 18 turnovers including a whopping six from Dennis Schröder.
Speaking of Schröder, Dennis finished with 15 points on 6 of 14 shooting, but he only logged 4 assists in 24 minutes and those sky-high 6 turnovers made for a very long night.
Dewayne Dedmon scored 6 of Atlanta’s first 8 points, but became a non-factor with the exception of 7 rebounds as he split his minutes with Miles Plumlee and Mike Muscala as the game went on.
The play of John Collins continues to taper off after a torrid start to the season, perhaps due to the “rookie wall.” Collins was unable to make a huge impact on this game with only 8 points on 4 of 6 shooting with 6 rebounds, 3 assist and 1 steal.
As always, John the Baptist had a nice dunk (off the dribble, no less):
The Hawks are now tied with the Orlando Magic for the third-worst record in the league, giving them a 13.7 percent chance at the number one overall pick and a 42.3 percent chance at a top-3 pick.
