1956: Lakers Clip Hawks Wings (Game 2 of Western Division Final)

In their inaugural season in St. Louis, the Hawks finished the regular season at 33-39 and 3rd in the Western Division.

The Hawks took Game 1 in dramatic fashion, but the next game against the Minneapolis Lakers was one to forget.

The first half was a struggle, as St. Louis could only muster 15 points in each of the first two quarters. The Lakers would go into the locker room with a 61-30 Halftime lead.

The entire Laker roster would score in double digits (including Slater Martin and George Mikan) as Bob Pettit and Jack Stephens were the only Hawks to score 10+.
