The last full month of the season also saw the Hawks have their worst month since October. They dropped 12 games, most by double digits, and their only two wins weren’t comfortable, winning by just one to Phoenix and by five in Utah.
Speaking of, the game against the Jazz had to be one of the best of the year for the Hawks. Dennis was on a tear in Salt Lake, and became the first Hawk since 2009 to score more than 40 in the game. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the lopsided losses noted before.
However, if you believe in moral victories, taking the reigning champions down to the wire and losing by just five is definitely one.
