The Atlanta Hawks signed Isaiah Taylor October 16, 2017 after playing just 4 games for the Houston Rockets in his rookie season. The second-year point guard was a three-year starter for the Texas Longhorns.

Isaiah Taylor’s stats may not blow you away, but the point guard showed plenty of promise in his first year as a Hawk. In very limited minutes this season, Taylor showed that he was more than capable of competing at the professional level with great speed and a solid ability to finish at the basket.

The Atlanta backcourt was filled with young players just waiting to get an opportunity to show what they could bring to the table, and Isaiah Taylor took advantage of the time he got on the court by averaging 6.6 points in 17.4 minutes played per game. Taylor’s usage and production really started to go up after the injury to Dennis Schroder occurred and he really got a chance to showcase his ability on a nightly basis.
