Though the lottery picks get all the attention around NBA draft time, the Atlanta Hawks should not be blinded by the hype surrounding the most highly regarded prospects this year.

Hawks fans have certainly heard a lot of conversation surrounding the best players in this draft class, as the team has a chance to nab one of these transcendent talents for the first time since they selected Al Horford 3rd overall, or perhaps even further back, when they snatched Marvin Williams with the 2nd overall pick.

Bagley. Bamba. Jackson. Young. Doncic. Ayton. Those names on repeat have practically been Hawks’ fans mantra since it became clear that the team would be nowhere near the playoff race this season.

However, the 2018 NBA Draft class is sneakily deep, and though it hasn’t been receiving the plaudits that the previous class was bestowed with (understandably so, just look at last year’s 19th overall pick), there are some talented players who are not receiving anywhere near as much clout as the main guys.

Here, we’ve collected a few unheralded draft prospects that the Hawks might be able to take a flyer on, especially since they have an impressive 4 picks this year.
