An elite three-point marksman, Landry Shamet out of Wichita State has been spotted up and down draft boards all over the internet, but for this piece, it looks as if Shamet is projected to go midway through the second round. He also recently worked out for the Hawks:

A high-IQ player on both ends, the Hawks would benefit most from Shamet’s singular A+ skill: shooting. The team hasn’t had a true knockdown shooter since Kyle Korver was traded during the 2016-17 season, though Kent Bazemore and Luke Babbitt last season applied for the job.

Though lacking the striking physical attributes of more boom-or-bust prospects in this draft, Shamet is able to use his excellent feel and smarts to outfox opposing players with canny decision-making.
