We have already highlighted Hamidou Diallo out of Kentucky as a possible draft steal for the Hawks, but after his max vertical plummeted 4 inches from the 2017 and 2018 combine (from 44.5” to 40.5”), Diallo’s stock has never been lower.

Though his athleticism is still stunning at times, an overall lack of feel coupled with a lack of production during his freshman season means that Diallo’s draft stock is almost at rock bottom… meaning it’s the perfect time for the Hawks to buy low and take on Diallo with a late second round selection.

Sure, he has flaws, but the Hawks are looking for upside, right? Despite trending in the wrong direction, Diallo is still a high-ceiling prospect, and the Hawks would do well to consider him later on in the second round.
