A burly and multi-talented wing/combo forward, Gary Clark’s profile sets him up to be a defensive-minded role player with a knack for hitting open spot-up threes.

Clark had a tremendous senior season for Cincinnati, and his gifts on the glass would immediately benefit the Hawks (22% defensive rebound rate, 12% offensive rebound rate), who were buoyed by the efforts of Second Team All-Rookie member John Collins in that category, but were still considerably lacking there.

Though his advanced age (23½ on draft day) might not match the Hawks timeline, Clark is not expected to go in the first round or the upper second, meaning the Hawks might be able to nab him with a bought pick later in the second round.
